FAQS
The Northern Sydney Youth Strategic Planning Day 2024, is a dynamic gathering of local service providers dedicated to creating a shared vision and improving collaboration to support our region’s young people.
The Northern Sydney District is a very large and diverse region with its young people (and their families) experiencing a range of complex issues and challenges.
Effective service delivery requires many moving parts to work in sync to achieve the desired outcomes. All while overcoming a multitude of obstacles and difficulties.
So! We need “all hands and brains on deck” to analyse/understand the issues and trends, and jointly work on solutions and strategies that are relevant to both services and to the young people alike.
Collective minds. Collective voice.
We want to
💬 share our experiences and knowledge
👁️🗨️ analyse and understand the issues
⚙️ coordinate our collaborative responses
In essence, we want to bring people together to work collaboratively to improve our service delivery to young people.
The Planning Day is naturally only the beginning and a lot will depend on the ideas and decisions made by people on the day.
But in essence, the Planning Day will allow for services to contribute to future practical outcomes in a collaborative and coordinated manner.
What we are planning for is to improve existing networks and partnerships and create pathways to some new and innovative options as well.
Basically, the Planning Day is the first step towards future collaborations as determined by the services themselves.
So make sure you attend, especially if you’re a direct service worker, and contribute your ideas.
They are much needed.
Anyone who works in some capacity with young people in the Northern Sydney District. **
The Planning Day will cover a wide range of youth issues and topics so the wider the representation the more comprehensive we can be with our strategies and solutions.
It goes without saying that it will be important to engage with as many people as possible from direct service, to management, to policy. From NGOs to Government and everyone in between.
** The areas covered by the 4 Youth Interagencies: Northern Beaches, Lower North Shore, Ryde – Hunters Hill, and Hornsby – Ku-ring-gai.
